We’re moving into that time of year when parents gear up to send their kids off to college. I’ve personally been down this road twice. While it’s a fun and exciting time, it can also be stressful and emotional. Self care = self love. For many of us we do for others tirelessly while leaving ourselves exhausted and overwhelmed. I see this in almost every single person I work with. We put the needs of others before our own over and over and over again without any time or space left to nurture ourselves.

For some people they always put themselves at the bottom of the list…some people don’t even have themselves ON the list. I used to be one of those people. I would say YES every time someone needed help because it made me feel worthy. Since then, I’ve done a lot of work on myself and a BIG self care practice I’ve implemented in the past several years is the skill of saying NO!
